Behold: Swissorhands! This is the final version as can be seen in the AWP Gallery in New York. Thanks to my trainee, Richie & my Patricia. 

‘The Pick of the Crab Design Studio from Chile, has launched a new paper toy project called “Ensemble”. There are a couple of shapes available for free pdf download on the project site. Everyone is invited to submit their own design on these forms. The pieces connect together and will form one larger sculptural piece for an exhibition. Check out the site if you are interested in the project and send in your own piece of the puzzle!’

Below a sneak preview of our custom for the Halloween Custom Toy exhibition in New York: Swissorhands. Indeed a mutation of Tim Burtons Edward Scissorhands and a Swiss pocket knife. We’re working on his mask right now.   

From October 31st - November 11th, Locografix/Playroll is participating in a custom toy exhibition in the APW Gallery New York. 40 artists worldwide have been invited. I’m working on my custom right now, but do hope to show some photos within 1 week.

For ‘put your hands up for Detroit’ DJ Fedde Le Grand to be released album, we have created a new papertoy. In the booklet 8 pages will be spent on building this character. Most likely in 1 of his new videoclip it will play a role.

Always wanted to see PlayRoll alive and kicking? Go visit Subwalk in Arnhem, Hommelstraat 65. Shop owners Jos & Roos have displayed them in the front of the store, right before the window. You can’t miss them. 

Right now we are working on a plushes version of Toxi. He will be 25cm tall and has a diameter of 10cm. We try to make him similar to his wooden version: same fake leather with 2 color silkscreen prints. A limited amount of plushes will be produced +/- 25 pieces.
